Junior Project Engineer

The Junior Project Engineer will work with the Site Capital Lead, Project Managers, and Project Engineers across the site’s self-directed work teams and hub teams to support the delivery of operational and capital projects.

The objectives of this role are as follows:

• Develop an understanding of project scope, schedule, and deliverables for projects within assigned areas
• Support the maintenance of project documentation and capital project tracking files
• Assist the project team with gathering and collating data to support reporting on project scope, schedule, and budget
• Support the tracking of project costs and assist in identifying variances between planned and actual spend
• Assist with raising project-related requisitions using Ariba
• Support the processing of invoices and payments through SAP
• Assist in the preparation and administration of Scope of Works (SOWs) and purchase orders for capital projects
• Support the preparation and presentation of project reports and data for internal stakeholders
• Assist with the preparation of financial and progress reports by collecting and summarising project information
• Support project teams in monitoring and reporting on monthly project spending
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support project delivery

• Level 8 degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or another technical discipline
• 2-5 years’ experience in an engineering, construction, or project xcfaprz delivery environment
• Understanding of project delivery principles, including scope, schedule, and cost management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional project teams
• Good report writing, documentation, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and job-related computer applications
• Experience or exposure to SAP, Ariba, or other procurement systems would be an advantage
