Position Summary

Since 1997, our factory has been a leading producer of the nation's cat litter supply. Our culture of continuous improvement drives Tidy Cats product innovations, revolutionizing the cat litter category with LightWeight litter, combining strength with half the weight. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Maintenance Manager, you will manage, lead, and coordinate activities of your team to maximize performance, minimize costs, maintain quality, and endorse safety and operating standards. You will be responsible for coaching, training, and developing your team members while maintaining daily maintenance projects, preventative maintenance, and repair work. You will also foster a safe work environment, ensuring all quality and environmental standards are met, and be responsible for the proper management of the day-to-day operational environmental issues.

  • Develop vision needed to lead and oversee maintenance support to factory operational equipment, as well as general facility maintenance
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment at the highest practical level through continuous improvement of the maintenance systems, as well as leadership within the facility’s continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work with team members to develop the most cost-effective repair strategies and manage maintenance spending responsibilities to achieve factory maintenance budget
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives to maintain a low cost high efficient operation
  • Develop and implement innovative technical ideas and solutions for improved production efficiencies to reduce operating cost
  • Complete planning and budgeting for maintenance activities including extraordinary maintenance as well as annual budget for labor, repair materials, and outside contractors
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
