Lanoha Nurseries, a leading retail garden center in Omaha, NE. is looking for an individual who wants professional and personal growth in a take charge environment. The role of the Greenhouse Manager will provide direction to employees within all areas of the greenhouse. Qualified candidates must possess previous work experience in a greenhouse with strong abilities to organize and have a creative eye to arrange custom annual pots for clients in addition to providing customer service and respond to inquiries involving plant material, garden supplies, and design arrangements.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and Maintain greenhouse facilities operations, plant health, and insect & disease control.

· Responsible for the selection and procurement of annuals, tropicals, house plants, hanging baskets, custom container plant materials, vegetables, herbs, and succulents.

· Purchasing and maintaining correct inventory levels

· Having an eye for detail and designing annual flower arrangements for customers

· Works with current manager and other department assistants to effectively communicate greenhouse setup and process

· Provide training and orientation to all new hire employees

· Work with vendors for delivery schedule, credits, and returns

· Receive incoming plant material and complete cost analysis for material purchased

· Ability to multi task and meet deadlines

· 2+ years Greenhouse experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and ERP Operating systems.

· Ability to run reports, analyze data, and study sales trends

· Knowledge of tropical, houseplants, and annuals

· Salesmanship and ability to teach importance of customer service

· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and handle weather extremes
