The Role As a Senior Database Administrator Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing our database environments, with a primary focus on MongoDB, while also engaging with technologies like Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, Couchbase, and Postgres. Your responsibilities will encompass administration, security, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and data replication. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers and operations, you will ensure our systems are scalable, performant, and reliable. Main Responsibilities Provide expert direction for complex database solutions across design and production environments.
Collaborate with teams to design and convert logical designs into physical databases, ensuring problem resolution and adherence to best practices.
Manage database operations, troubleshoot issues, and uphold database security protocols.
Evaluate and integrate new and emerging technologies for database solutions and strategies.
Establish and enforce database standards and processes.
Work with Architecture and Infrastructure teams on broad IT solutions.
Lead efforts to analyze and resolve complex outages.
Candidate Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to obtain GSA suitability for government security clearance.
Extensive experience with MongoDB (versions 4 to 8) including installations and management of self-managed environments.
Proficient in rolling patching, creating, and managing replica sets in MongoDB.
Familiarity with MongoDB utilities such as mongosh and mongodump.
Experience in performance analysis in MongoDB environments.
Familiarity with managing MongoDB Atlas and migrating databases to it.
Knowledge of cloud services like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Proficiency in automation technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach to project ownership and quality results.
Comprehensive knowledge of multiple database technologies.
Adept at leading integrations and improving processes.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle 19c and 12c, including components like RAC and GoldenGate.
In-depth knowledge of various database technologies and integration experience.
Familiarity with MySQL and Cassandra, along with Couchbase experience.
Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range. Individual pay is determined by skills and experience among other factors. Expected Pay Ranges $132,232 - $176,310 in certain states, with varying ranges in others based on geographic locations.
