Responsibilities: The Data Engineer is responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application. The Data Engineer shall develop data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data. Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security. Design and construct large relational databases. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality. Skill Requirements:
A senior level Data Engineer should possess the following skills: Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Preferred Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years' experience. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
