Are you ready to take your CNC operating skills to the next level? At Waukesha Bearings , part of Dover Precision Components , we invite you to become a vital part of our fully integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing facility. Here, you’ll utilize cutting-edge CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations, crafting customized designs from a variety of materials including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Your RoleAs a Skilled CNC Operator , you will work with a diverse range of multi-axis machine tools—lathes, mills, grinders, and more. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-mix customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators for turbo and industrial machinery, serving customers across Europe and beyond.
What We Offer- Competitive Salary:
- £44,919.62 for a weekly rotating shift pattern (early and backshifts)
- £52,452.37 for night shifts
- Working Hours: 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday with permanent employment contracts.

- Time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment.
- Established experience with Rotary Table Grinders, CNC Table Grinders, or 5 Axis CNC Grinders.
- Experience with multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan.
- Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas.
- Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.
- Experience with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges).
- Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments is a plus.
- Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
- Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system.
- Interpret work instructions and select proper tooling for operations.
- Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials.
- Read, understand, edit, or write complete programs.
- Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
- Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality verification.
