Job Summary:
Join our busy logistics hub in Austin, Texas, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This dual-role position is vital for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for efficiently receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role. If you have experience in logistics and enjoy a hands-on, fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload all incoming shipments, accurately documenting contents and checking for damage.
  • Inspect goods for quality and quantity against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Sort, label, and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the dock areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is required.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and documentation (e.g., BOLs, manifests).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, and moving for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE is crucial.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
