We are looking for energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our Atlanta, Georgia distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and ensuring they are packed safely and efficiently for shipment. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, directly impacting order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Inspect products for damage or defects before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to minimize shipping costs and damage.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, following all established safety procedures and using appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Adhere to all company policies and logistics standards.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
