Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding career in the logistics sector? Our Seattle, Washington facility is hiring a Picker/Packer to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders. You'll be responsible for locating specific items within our warehouse, verifying their condition, and securely packing them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our operations, requiring precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality. A focus on Safety and adherence to all procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE, is non-negotiable. This is a great entry point into the warehousing and logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Inspect items for any defects or damages before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack items securely for transit.
- Apply shipping labels correctly to all packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established Safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed targets for picking and packing accuracy and speed.
- Participate in inventory checks and stock replenishment activities.
- Understand and execute various logistics tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 45 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of basic Safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn new processes.
