Join our team as an Order Picker in Detroit, Michigan! We are looking for a diligent individual to accurately pick items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our warehouse operations and logistics efficiency, ensuring that orders are assembled correctly and promptly. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner input.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto carts for transport.
- Assist with packing and preparing orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Operate order picking equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE .
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve occasional lifting .
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics process through accurate and timely picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse picking role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order forms or use scanning equipment.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and wearing required PPE .
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics is beneficial.
