Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Virginia Beach, Virginia? We are hiring for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role is critical to our warehouse logistics , ensuring efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for safely and accurately moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. A strong understanding of forklift operation, safety protocols, and inventory management is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange merchandise on shelves, pallets, or in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve manual lifting .
- Understand and adhere to all company policies regarding equipment operation and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Physical stamina to perform duties, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety .
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping processes is a plus.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , such as safety shoes and vests.
