Join our bustling Los Angeles, California warehouse as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within the facility. You will be responsible for using various equipment to load, unload, and transport goods, contributing to the smooth flow of products from receiving to shipping. A strong commitment to Safety and efficiency is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to Safety regulations.
- Follow all instructions for the proper handling and storage of goods.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform tasks that require significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including significant Lifting.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
