We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role is vital for the smooth and safe operation of our warehouse facilities. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for skillfully maneuvering forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and transport inventory to designated areas. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and adherence to all company policies, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. Your efficiency and precision in handling goods directly impact our logistics operations and overall productivity. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely shipments. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and order picking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Capacity to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Deep understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with general logistics principles.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
