We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to improve inventory accuracy. The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in optimizing warehouse operations and reducing stockouts and overstock situations. You will work closely with the warehouse management team and other departments to ensure seamless logistics and efficient material flow. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to best practices in inventory control are essential. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Your role directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and manage operational costs effectively. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using WMS.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to minimize damage.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams on inventory planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in inventory management.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
