An exciting opportunity awaits in Des Moines, Iowa, for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk! In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that our warehouse runs like a well-oiled machine. Your responsibilities will include tracking stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Effective inventory management is the backbone of our logistics operations, and your precision will directly impact our efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure seamless material flow and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. - Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Updating inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generating inventory reports for management.
- Assisting with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stock rotation.
- Identifying damaged or expired goods and initiating appropriate actions.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
The ability to perform tasks involving lifting is necessary. Adherence to safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE are mandatory. This role is critical for the success of our logistics operations.
