Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Coordinate the efficient flow of materials and finished goods within the distribution center.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use and availability of PPE.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and carriers to resolve issues and ensure smooth logistics.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory, and productivity metrics.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination, supervision, or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics principles.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate a team.
