Our New York City, New York facility is seeking a highly motivated and accurate Order Picker to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving items from our extensive warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and other technology to track inventory movements and order progress.
- Verify picked items against order tickets to ensure complete and correct order fulfillment.
- Transport picked items to staging areas for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or picking issues to the warehouse supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
- Perform lifting and other physical tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with RF scanning equipment and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
