This position is responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within the facility. You will ensure that goods are transported, stored, and prepared for distribution accurately and safely. As a Material Handler, you contribute directly to the smooth functioning of our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Organize and arrange inventory in designated locations, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support the logistics team with various tasks as needed.
- Perform lifting and other physical tasks as required by the role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including consistent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
