Our Columbus, Ohio facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and tracking of materials throughout our distribution center. This position requires precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will operate various types of material handling equipment to ensure that goods are stored properly and that orders are fulfilled accurately. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Receive, identify, and accurately record incoming materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored according to company standards.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operating license or certification is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Good physical condition and ability to handle strenuous work.
