Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in Seattle, Washington! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our bustling distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to transport, load, and unload goods. Your role is critical to maintaining the efficient flow of inventory and ensuring timely deliveries. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety protocols. You will be expected to perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order and to report any maintenance issues promptly. Proper handling and storage of materials are essential to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles. We emphasize the importance of adhering to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE such as safety vests and steel-toed boots. This role involves significant lifting and maneuvering of products, and safe practices are non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
