We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This dynamic role is crucial for managing the flow of goods both into and out of our warehouse. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for accurately processing incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders for dispatch, and maintaining inventory records. Your role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach their destinations efficiently and accurately. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team to meet daily operational goals. Key responsibilities include inspecting goods, data entry, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring the proper packaging and labeling of all shipments. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount; you will be required to use appropriate PPE and adhere to all Safety guidelines. The role involves physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is a significant advantage. We are looking for organized, reliable individuals eager to contribute to a productive team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Accurately document all shipping and receiving activities in the inventory system.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Ensure consistent use of appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
