We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting inventory, verifying documentation, and preparing items for put-away. This position is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring that we have accurate stock levels and that materials are handled with care. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and inspect for damage.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Organize and prepare incoming inventory for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and use required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Perform lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
