Join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas, as a Shipping Clerk! You will be a key player in ensuring that all outgoing orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipments, verifying documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately documenting contents, weight, and dimensions.
- Verify shipping orders against customer requirements and packing slips.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, freight) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and pallet wrappers.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and adheres to Safety regulations.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and order management systems.
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
- Physical ability to handle packages and perform occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
