Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Identify damaged or obsolete stock and process it according to company policy.
  • Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) periodically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and inventory best practices.
