We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in Dallas, Texas. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing various types of materials and products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain an organized and productive environment. Safety is our highest priority. All employees are required to strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety vests, gloves, and eye protection. This position involves significant physical activity, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
- Move materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all established safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
- Perform lifting of materials as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and PPE requirements.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Team-oriented and able to work independently.
