Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Supporting the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Possess a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
- Have previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
