We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our Baltimore, Maryland distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods throughout our warehouse, supporting all logistics operations. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and precision.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow all company safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or potential risks in the warehouse.
- Support the overall logistics and material handling functions of the facility.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
