Join our growing logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Picker/Packer. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, requiring precision and efficiency in selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order processing.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders using scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks for moving goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain stock accuracy.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing productivity standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
