We are looking for a reliable Order Picker to join our logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to maintain smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets and locate specific items in the warehouse.
- Accurately pick specified quantities of products from shelves.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items.
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to supervisors.
- Perform basic material handling tasks as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Must be prepared for regular lifting and movement throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet performance targets.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
