We are seeking a skilled and motivated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are managed effectively from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of warehouse machinery, a strong understanding of safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires physical stamina, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to designated storage areas and ensure proper placement.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring correct orders and proper handling.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to use required PPE.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
