We are seeking a proactive Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Orlando, Florida location. This dual-role position is essential for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for accurately receiving shipments, inspecting contents, and ensuring timely dispatch of outgoing orders. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount. This role requires effective communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming freight, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and shipping dock area.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Must be proficient in tasks involving Lifting objects up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with computer systems and shipping software.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
