We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and in excellent condition. Your primary focus will be on fulfilling customer orders promptly and correctly, contributing directly to our warehouse operations. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with inventory management systems to track picked items and report any discrepancies. We prioritize the safety of our employees and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves significant manual handling and requires the ability to perform moderate lifting throughout your shift. Understanding the importance of efficient logistics is key to success in this role. Your commitment to safety protocols will be essential for maintaining a secure and productive workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using a scanner or pick list.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment, including appropriate labeling.
- Transport picked orders to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, if required.
- Meet or exceed picking efficiency and accuracy targets.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding inventory or order fulfillment to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vest.
- Excellent understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
