Our San Antonio, Texas facility is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our thriving logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are moved effectively and safely to support our logistics and distribution processes. You will work in a busy warehouse environment, handling a variety of products and materials. Safety is our utmost priority, and all operators must strictly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a keen understanding of forklift operation, load stability, and warehouse safety protocols. While operating the forklift is primary, you may also be asked to assist with other warehouse tasks. We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who are committed to operational excellence in our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the facility.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to a safety-conscious culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven understanding of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Knowledge of safety regulations pertaining to forklift operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
