We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment. Using a handheld scanner, you will locate items in the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency to support our logistics operations. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders using a scanner.
- Verify picked items against order tickets to ensure accuracy.
- Stage orders for packing and shipment.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory in the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at your workstation and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of necessary PPE.
- Perform lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency by meeting picking targets and maintaining order accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and use a scanning device.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks regularly.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Awareness of and commitment to warehouse safety practices.
