We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for our entire logistics operation. You will handle a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials to and from different areas of the warehouse, and maintaining an organized stock. A strong emphasis on Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all company protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting, carrying, and moving of materials, as well as operating various types of material handling equipment. Experience with forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure that inventory is managed accurately and that materials are readily available for production or shipping. - Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately counting and tracking materials.
- Prepare materials for shipment or production as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Operate all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following proper procedures for PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support team members with various warehouse tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, carrying, and manual dexterity.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of using PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
