We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling warehouse in Los Angeles, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the movement and organization of goods within our facility. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials, contributing directly to our logistics operations. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and ensuring the orderly arrangement of our warehouse space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize materials in designated storage locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist other warehouse personnel as needed.
- Adhere to all logistics and shipping schedules.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control systems.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
