IT Lab Systems Engineer

Ergo are seeking an IT Lab Systems Engineer to work onsite with a leading pharmaceutical client in County Mayo. In this exciting role you support existing infrastructure and support the implementation of new projects and users.

You should have experience supporting IT users within a GxP environment and be familiar with lab systems / environments.

This is an initial 6 month Contract opportunity with long-term potential and great day rates.

• Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and related IT infrastructure.
• Install, upgrade and maintain new and existing laboratory equipment
• Build, installation, configuration, qualification - typically supporting 3rd party system integrator or equipment supplier.
• Triage issues relating to Software, OS, Hardware, Network, or Scientific Equipment setup/interfaces
• System Recovery test and execution including imaging and data backup.
• Provision of technical support/direction to OT, Engineering, Validation, Quality and 24/7 IT support teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and equipment support, managing service levels and issue resolution.
• Provide IT support for lab systems and instruments, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Testing of IT, lab and other systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues impacting lab operations.
• Support system documentation, change control, and audit readiness activities.

• IT user support
• Software patching
• Desktop support - imaging PC's and deployments
• Lab equipment installation within a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment
• IT support Helpdesk systems
• LIMS / MES systems such as Empower, LabX, SampleManager, MODA, Vi-Cell Blu, Synergy, Molecular Devices CSI an advantage
• Understanding of networking principles including IP addressing
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. xcfaprz
