Join Our Team as a Part-Time Supervising Social Worker!

Base Location: Coventry

Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days)

Salary: Up to £34,507 FTE (£43,134.00)

Caseload Area: Midlands and South Yorkshire (no more than 1 hour's drive, with occasional flexibility required)

Your Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. You will work collaboratively with foster parents to promote meaningful supervision of placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents within a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling and monitoring foster parents' practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and publications pertaining to children's services.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Flexibility in working patterns and travel.
Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training roles for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and able to meet strict deadlines.

All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, with costs covered by Fosterplus.
