As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by setting up and operating both computer numerically controlled and manual machines. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
• Download programs from a DNC storage system and interpret work instructions.
• Select and install the appropriate tooling for various operations.
• Calculate feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum.
• Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and foster a team-focused environment.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
• Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas.
• Proficiency in precision inspection equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• A self-motivated attitude with strong facilitation skills in a team setting.
• Ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.

• HNC Engineering preferred.
• Relevant health and safety awareness.

This position requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We value a clean and safe working environment, and you will be responsible for maintaining this standard.
