Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to transform research code into production-ready services.
Configure and manage cloud resources within OCI, focusing on IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, and logging.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for R and Python applications using OCI DevOps, Git workflows, and Artifact Registry.
Containerize workloads using Docker or similar tools for reproducible deployment patterns.
Set up and manage static web hosting utilizing OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configurations.
Bring hands-on cloud experience, ideally with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, while being open to learning AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced data pipelines and platforms, providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Architect and optimize large-scale, reliable data workflows on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using services like OCI Data Flow and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Evaluate and integrate new Oracle cloud-native data technologies, fostering continuous improvement in processes.
Adhere to Oracle's security, privacy, and data management policies, proactively identifying potential risks.
Mentor junior team members in best practices, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
Prepare and present technical proposals and architecture reviews to both technical and business leadership.
Transform business needs into effective, practical solutions.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance technical expertise across the organization.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, demonstrating a track record of building large-scale data platforms in the cloud.
Advanced skills in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Database tools.
Proficient in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT patterns, with experience using Oracle products.
Strong understanding of data security and compliance in an enterprise setting.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of successful teamwork and communication.
Experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance in data engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading migration projects or developing new data platforms on OCI.
Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud and DevOps practices for data workloads.
Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related fields.
