Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport goods throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and retrieve materials from designated storage areas, including high-level racking.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any issues or defects.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed, such as order picking or packing.
- Ensure all loads are stable and secure before movement.
- Participate in all mandatory safety training sessions.
- Employ safe lifting practices and proper material handling techniques.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is required.
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA compliant).
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if needed.
