Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Jon Joseph Moakley Courthouse located at 1 Courthouse Way, Boston, MA 02210

Project Name: CM Support Services, Moakley Courthouse Hardening Project

Client: General Services Administration (GSA)

Pay Range: $100K - $130K per year plus benefits

Anticipated Start Date: May 2026

Project Duration: 19-months

Project Details (Size, SOW, Site Background, etc.): The project scope consists of removal of existing windows, doors and entrance systems, including the existing storefront assembly at the main public entrance, and providing forced entry resistant assemblies, plus upgrades to courthouse lockdown assemblies


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, Designer and the General Contractor
  • Manage and coordinate consultants and staff to provide a full range of construction management services
  • Manage project schedules from inception to close out
  • Lead project meetings, document action items and produce agendas and minutes
  • Review and recommend for approval contractor monthly requisitions and invoices
  • Provide efficient change order and cost control management, provide Independent Government Estimates, analyze contractor proposals and make recommendations to GSA
  • Provide Daily reports, Quality Assurance inspections and report on project issues and provide status updates. Weekly and Monthly reports as required by the Client
  • Ensuring that requirements with regard to scope, schedule, budget, quality and other aspect of the project are met
  • Developing and controlling budgets and funding strategies
  • Managing interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories
  • Integrating competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes so that project requirements flow smoothly
  • Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among existing and occupied facilities
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.)

  • Minimum of (10) years of construction experience serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative and (6) years of demonstrated expertise on similar projects. Experience in general construction, concrete, sitework and utility installation
  • Proven experience managing GSA projects in a CMa role
  • Proven experience preparing cost estimates and Independent Government Estimates
  • Proven experience preparing Integrated Master Schedules
  • Proven experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals
  • Proven experience with P100 and code compliance requirements
  • Proven experience with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing staff and consultants to provide a full range of construction management services, including change management, scheduling, budget analysis, estimating, risk management, commissioning, and quality assurance (Safety, MEP, Structural, Life Safety, Fire Prevention)
  • Hold a degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering
  • Certified or pursuing certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMAA)
