We are seeking a proactive
Jr Systems Administrator
responsible for assisting, maintaining, optimizing, and securing our infrastructure while supporting business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding in Microsoft cloud technologies, server administration, automation, and endpoint management, as well as having hands-on experience working in enterprise IT environments. In this role the individual will be working alongside and assisting senior level IT professionals to learn from and to grow into their careers.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with setup, administration and managing end users' laptops Manage and maintain printers, plotters and copiers Assist with managing and supporting
Microsoft Intune
for endpoint configuration, compliance policies, and device management Administer and maintain
Microsoft 365
services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD) Assist with performing Windows Server administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services Monitor system performance, availability, and security across cloud and on-premises environments Assist with implementing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions Assist with managing patches, updates, and vulnerability remediation Provide Tier 1/2 technical support Maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and configurations Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices and compliance requirements Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent 3-5 years of experience as a Jr Systems Administrator or similar role Experience / Familiarity with: Microsoft Azure administration Microsoft Intune (endpoint management & compliance) Microsoft 365 administration Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) Active Directory and Group Policy Knowledge in
PowerShell scripting
for automation and reporting Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware) Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
a must Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator) a plus, but not required Experience with hybrid cloud environments Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks Experience with monitoring and logging tools Ability to work late hours/weekends as needed. Must be able to travel by car as needed (NYC/NJ/CT/WESTCHESTER) The
salary range
for this role is $68,000 - $75,000 annually.
The employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications - not related to any applicant's characteristics protected by local, state or federal law. Note: The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
