The primary purpose of the Projects Lead – HVAC role is to oversee the delivery of all HVAC project activities, including planning, scoping, execution, commissioning support, and project close-out. This involves managing project workflows, controlling budgets, ensuring compliance with GMP and internal quality standards, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Projects Lead works closely with the Eirdata Management team and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standard. The role also supports business growth through effective project governance, commercial awareness, and continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC projects from initial scope to project close-out
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage timelines to ensure milestones are met
- Oversee installation, commissioning coordination, and engineering activities to ensure compliance and technical accuracy
- Review and manage project risk, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Ensure all project documentation is completed in line with SOPs and quality requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead project meetings, site surveys, and client updates to ensure expectations are understood and met
- Work with clients to define scope, resolve issues, and maintain positive long-term relationships
- Support commercial discussions, including project variations and change control
- Prepare and review project quotations, costs, and budget forecasts
- Track project financial performance to ensure profitability targets are achieved
- Coordinate timely invoicing and manage project-related financial reporting
- Evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals and ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules
- Coordinate engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and support staff
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support annual performance reviews and professional development planning for project team members
- Ensure all project work is carried out in accordance with GMP, safety legislation, company SOPs, and industry best practice
- Liaise with external auditors, quality teams, and regulatory stakeholders as required
- Support the maintenance of documentation xcfaprz systems and project quality records
- Promote a strong safety culture and manage project-level safety risks and controls
- Degree-level Engineering Qualification (Mechanical, Building Services, or related Level 7/8)
- Proven leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial, supervisory, or project leadership role.
- Extensive experience delivering HVAC or mechanical engineering projects
- Strong understanding of GMP, commissioning, and validation requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Skilled in resource planning and project scheduling tools
- Strong financial awareness and commercial decision-making ability
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong technical writing ability and familiarity with engineering documentation
- Full clean driving licence & eligible to drive in Ireland
- Eligible to work in Ireland
