We are seeking an MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to work with our Estimating Department across all regions in the preparation of estimates and successful project execution. This is a technical role involving cost estimation, tender preparation, and pre‑construction support for MEP Systems across various sectors including Industrial, Pharmaceutical, DC, Commercial, Residential and Public.

Key Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • 3 - 5 years in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical work packages
  • Experience working on large scale data centres will be an advantage

Reporting to the Estimating Director and working with other Pre-Construction Departments as necessary, your key responsibilities will include:


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for MEP Systems on major projects
  • Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to produce competitive bids
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure constructability and feasibility
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain accurate pricing
  • Identify risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for value engineering
  • Support pre‑construction planning and tender presentations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all estimating processes, assumptions, and calculations
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and relevant regulations
  • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
