Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term partnerships and managing CxO/senior-level relationships.
  • Drive revenue growth by hitting Qtr/Annual sales targets across Viatel’s Data centre portfolio.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand service offerings within existing data centre clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage P&L, ensure budgetary compliance, and drive profitability.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex customer issues, including negotiating any SLA service‑credit settlements triggered by service outages.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with KPIs and SLAs, overseeing health, safety, and quality standards (QHSE).
  • Stay abreast of data centre market trends, including edge computing, AI infrastructure, and energy efficiency.
  • Promote Viatel’s Data Centre capabilities both internally and externally, partnering with Marketing and representing the company at key industry events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term partnerships and managing CxO/senior-level relationships.
  • Partner with Customer Service Management, Billing and Finance to resolve customer queries quickly.
  • You will also play a key role in the major client callout and support process whenever defined outage thresholds are met.
  • Your contact details, including mobile number, will be shared with internal teams and designated priority customers for direct access.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10+ years of account management or sales experience in the data centre, telecoms, colocation, or bandwidth infrastructure sector.
  • Solid understanding of data centre critical infrastructure (power, cooling, rack density, and fibre connectivity, private cloud environments).
  • Demonstrated success in managing large P&Ls and closing multi-million euro contracts.
  • Excellent, proven ability to negotiate high-value contracts and present to C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience interacting with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills, delivering clear, confident and engaging content to internal and external audiences. xcfaprz
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is often preferred.
