Navio Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and managing project deliverables to ensure successful project completion.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Delivery & Commercial Oversight
- Align contract and commercial decisions with the company’s long-term goals and market positioning.
- Drive profitability and margin protection across contracts and projects.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure commercial viability and operational alignment.
- Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships to support business growth.
- Make informed decisions balancing commercial risk, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals across sites.
- Set clear expectations and KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Foster a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration and ownership.
- Coach and mentor junior staff, supporting career development and succession planning.
- Conduct performance reviews and uphold CHM’s values in team leadership.
- Manage day-to-day contract performance, ensuring delivery to agreed commercial terms, timelines, and specifications.
- Oversee contract variations, extensions, claims, and commercial change processes in line with governance standards.
- Ensure robust contract records including correspondence, variations, and approvals.
- Work closely with the CEO to ensure contracts are commercially viable, deliverable, and aligned to operational plans.
- Support integration of contract practices and controls across projects.
- Lead and attend contract handover, progress, and review meetings to ensure alignment between bid, delivery, and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with commercial governance, risk, and reporting requirements.
- Provide regular reports to the CEO on contract performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support development of commercial action plans where performance or risk issues arise.
- Promote health and safety awareness and compliance as part of leadership accountability.
- Comply with Navio’s Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
- Understand and apply our QEHS policy statements in all aspects of your work.
- Contribute towards achieving Navio’s QEHS objectives.
- Ensure that the needs and requirements of Navio’s internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
- Help develop and improve Navio’s internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
- Strong customers focus skills, with the ability to build relationships and networks with strategic stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Able to demonstrate financial, commercial and business development acumen.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
- Has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Safe Pass.
- Full clean Irish drivers licence.
- 10+ years’ experience with recognised main contractors / Developers on large complex projects valued up to €2m, operating in a similar role i.e. Contracts Manager / Project Director.
- Proven experience in contract management, commercial delivery, or project administration within construction or engineering sectors.
- Have a proven track record of seeing projects through to their successful completion.
- Have a sound knowledge of current construction techniques, build ability and value engineering concepts.
- Must be technically competent with the ability to set and track project milestones and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and risk management.
- Experience managing variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes.
- Experience working with public and private sector contracts, including frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
