The Role: As a Senior Vice President, Software Engineering Manager of the AI Platform Development team, you will be a key leader responsible for driving the strategy, development and delivery of the AI Platform that supports Blackstone's development efforts. Working with the Lead Architect, you will provide strategic direction, technical expertise and operational oversight to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute to the long-term growth and success of Blackstone. As a senior team leader, you will be responsible for guiding and implementing key technical solutions across the AI/ML landscape, as well as mentoring more junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: Lead AI Platform development team, delivering shared AI/ML services, infrastructure and tooling. Partner with Lead Architect to define and execute the vision for the AI Platform as well as Agent and Tool Support. Deliver standardized, self-service platform capabilities aligned with security, risk and compliance expectations. Contribute to the Platform Architecture function, defining reference architectures, standards and guardrails. Partner with data, cloud, security, risk and application teams to ensure platform alignment and control. Establish engineering standards for reliability, resilience, observability and controlled change. Build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent. Qualifications: 15+ years of software engineering experience, with strong command of Python, C#, Typescript and relevant technologies. Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams of software engineers and technical professionals. Strong technical background in cloud native architectures (AWS + Azure), distributed systems, and shared services. Deep understanding of software development principles, architecture, and best practices. Demonstrated product mindset for internal platforms and developer enablement. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior executives and business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results. Experience in the financial services industry or related field is preferred. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion. Expected annual base salary range: $175,000 - $250,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables. Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone's sole discretion.
