Company Overview
Our client is a well-established and growing fit-out and refurbishment contractor with an annual turnover of approximately €45 million. The company delivers high-quality commercial, retail, healthcare, education and specialist refurbishment projects across Ireland, with an expanding footprint in the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager / Operations Manager to lead and oversee operations.
Role OverviewThe Project Director take full responsibility for the operational delivery of projects across Ireland, with oversight of selected UK projects. This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to senior management, with responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality, safety and team leadership across multiple projects.
The successful candidate will play a central role in driving operational excellence, improving systems and processes, and supporting the strategic growth of the business.
ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Delivery- Oversee the delivery of multiple fit-out and Construction projects simultaneously
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards
- Provide senior leadership and direction to Contracts Managers, Project Managers and Site Teams
- Review and manage project programmes, resources and logistics
- Identify and mitigate project risks and commercial exposures
- Work closely with the Commercial team to manage project profitability and cash flow
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, performance and contractual compliance
- Ensure robust cost control, variation management and final account settlement
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and operational reporting at senior management level
- Lead, mentor and develop operational teams across Ireland and the UK
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management of key staff
- Maintain overall responsibility for Health & Safety performance across projects
- Ensure full compliance with Irish and UK H&S legislation and company policies
- Drive consistent quality standards and best practice across all sites
- Act xcfaprz as a senior point of contact for key clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Represent the company professionally in all external engagements
- Support senior management in developing and implementing operational strategy
- Improve systems, procedures and controls to support scalable growth
- Assist with tender reviews, buildability input and programme strategy at pre-construction stage
