Digital Engineering Lead

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Digital Engineering Lead in Burnfoot to lead and oversee Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities for our organization. As a Digital Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and coordination of BIM & Design processes across various projects. Your expertise in BIM technologies, attention to detail and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams will be essential for the effective execution of this role.

• Lead the BIM coordination efforts for multiple projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the accurate representation of project data within the BIM environment.
  
• Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
  
• Manage a team of BIM coordinators, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of BIM-related tasks.
  
• Develop and implement BIM execution plans, standards, and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models, including data integration, clash detection, and coordination of design and construction information.
  
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
  
• Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential design issues.
  
• Conduct internal team reviews against set standards on model & drawings outputs so that they align with team standards and ready for manufacture & delivery.
  
• Work closely with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize BIM software, tools, and workflows.
  
• Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on BIM-related processes and technologies.
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM and related technologies.
  
• Liaise with clients and external partners to address BIM-related inquiries and ensure alignment with project requirements.

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ACC, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
  
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  
• Familiarity with construction and design processes.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  
• Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement as specific training on our products and BIM Libraries will be delivered as part of the role.
